The car you see has been restored to a concours standard
First registered on 8th February 1950
Fitted with a 918cc side valve engine and gearbox. The car is running on standard suspension, brakes, wheels and crossply tyres. The car starts on the button and drives very well
I purchased the car as a barn find in January 2014. The car was stored until I began the restoration began in 2016
The body shell repairs were carried out with the body being placed on a rotisserie. The aim being to retain the integrity and originality of the car as much as possible, putting the car put back to standard format.
The restoration was completed in 2020 ready for the show season. The pandemic then prevented much use until 2022. At the Morris Minor club national rally of 2022 he was judged in concours achieving 263 points out of 300 putting the car in master’s class.
During the restoration I took many hundreds of photos which would be made available.
My circumstances have changed therefore I have to made the difficult decision to sell the car.

•Below are details of the work carried out:
Body and underside stripped repaired to original specifications saving as much of the original car as possible.
• Top coats of paint professionally applied on a rotisserie in black 2 pack paint. The underside of the car is as good as the top.
• The engine was dipped, stripped, re-bored, fitted with new pistons and rings, new bearings and reground crankshaft, new valves and hardened seats. The engine has completed about 600 miles.
• The original gearbox, rear axle and prop shaft were all stripped and repainted.
• All moving parts were stripped and serviced this includes door winders and windscreen wiper cable.
• Carburettor rebuilt using new parts.
• New stainless steel exhaust.
• Radiator re-cored and painted.
• Distributor re-bushed and rebuilt.
• Correct 7 leaf rear springs fitted.
• Refurbished hydraulic dampers.
• All brakes cylinders refurbished, honed, new seals fitted to original components. All brake pipes replaced.
• New fuel pipes
• Complete new Newton commercial interior was installed.
• Seat bases blasted and powder coated then painted correct colour.
• New carpets to original specification with correct footpad.
• Refurbished headlining in correct union cloth material.
• Handbrake correctly nickel plated
• Wheels blasted and powder coated in black with painted pinstripe. Fitted with new cross ply tyres, topped with new chrome hubcaps.
• New wiring loom to include additional indicators. These can be removed easily if showing as standard
• Trafficators refurbished and working.
• All control dials were stripped and cleaned.
• All new rubbers fitted to the glass and door seals.
• Re-silvered headlights.
• Brightwork either replaced or re-chromed.
• New original style aluminium kick plates fitted.
• Injected throughout all the chassis and cavities with rust inhibiting wax.
• Refurbished original toolkit included.
Some consumable spares included.
